The Colorado College women's tennis team won its first SCAC match of the season on Friday, 7-0, over Concordia Univ., in Georgetown, Texas.

The Tigers (9-7, 1-0 SCAC), took a 1-0 lead with a dominant victory at each doubles spot.
Lucia Moravek and
Aspen Young defeated Kayla Pena and Isabell Cepeda, 6-2, at the No. 1 position, while
Kala Komanduri and
Amelia Karr beat Jeauxleigh Cantu and Aria Moreni, 6-2, at No. 2.
Avery Hickman and
Ally Lowe completed the sweep by blanking Emma Mize and Aanysia Hamilton, 6-3, at the No. 3 spot.

In singles, CC won five of the six singles matches in straight sets, including a 7-5, 6-1, win by Komanduri over Pena at the top spot.

The only three-setter came at No, 2, where Lowe rallied to defeat Cepeda, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0(3). CC lost just seven games in the other four singles matches.

The Tigers, ranked No. 48 in Division III, return to action with their final match of the regular season on Sunday, April 20, at Southwestern University beginning at 10 a.m. (CT).
