The Colorado College men's track and field team completed its final preparation for next week's SCAC Championships on Saturday at the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Neb.
 
Owen Shi posted a pair of Top 10 results in the field events, including a second-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 46'4.75" and seventh in the discus at 108'9".
 
Three Tigers captured a sixth-place finish, including two by 
Chase Marks in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.07 seconds and the 400 hurdles in 58.95. Meanwhile, 
Huck Whittemore and 
Dylan Nevarez placed sixth in the 1500 (4:02.07) and 400 (51.86), respectively.
 
Brady Koch placed eighth in the 1500 (4:06.35), followed by 
Will Pechinsky in ninth (4:08.06), while 
Sean Lam was eighth in the 400 (1:01.7) and 
Griffin Stewart eighth in the long jump (20'9.25").
 
CC also had three in the Top 10 in the javelin, including 
George Peltier in fifth (149'8"), 
Easton Capser in eighth (145'2") and 
Mauricio Choussy in ninth (134'1").
 
The Tigers will travel to Seguin, Texas, for the SCAC Championships, April 25-27.
