The Colorado College women's tennis team opened the 2025 SCAC Championships with a 4-0 quarterfinal victory over Austin College Friday afternoon in Waco, Texas.

The Tigers, seeded second at the tournament, jumped out to a 1-0 lead with wins at the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches.
Kala Komanduri and
Amelia Karr won the No. 2 match, 6-0, over Emma Davidson and Bailey Standokes, while
Avery Hickman and
Ally Lowe beat Karsyn Clouse and Lauren Hofeldt, 6-2, at the No. 3 spot.

CC continued its momentum into the singles matches, dropping just one game in the three matches that finished. Komanduri was off first with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Standokes at the No. 1 position, while
Aspen Young beat Clouse by the same score at No. 3.

Hickman downed Davidson, 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 to clinch the match. The other three matches were then pulled off the court.

The 48
th-ranked Tigers (11-7) will face the winner of Southwestern and Schreiner in the semifinals on Saturday, April 26, at 12 p.m. (CT).
