Kevin Doyle Named New CC Assistant Coach

Colorado College men's soccer head coach Scott Palguta announced on Thursday the hiring of Kevin Doyle as the new assistant coach.

"I am thrilled to welcome Coach Doyle to the CC soccer family," Palguta said.  "Kevin is a coach I have admired and respected for a very long time.  He has found success at every stop on his impressive coaching journey, and he will bring instant credibility to our team.  Coach Doyle shares my values and vision for our soccer program, and I am excited to work closely with him as we lead and mentor our student-athletes."

Doyle brings nearly three decades of collegiate coaching experience, including the past 10 seasons at the Air Force Academy, where he served as associate head coach before being elevated to interim head coach for the 2024 season.

During his time with the Falcons, Doyle helped guide the program to seven consecutive WAC Tournament appearances, three WAC regular-season titles, and numerous NCAA Tournament berths. He was also part of three United Soccer Coaches Regional Staff of the Year honors.

"I couldn't be any more excited to be joining Coach Palguta and the team at Colorado College," Doyle said. "I have a tremendous amount of respect for Scott and the soccer program he leads at CC. I believe in the educational mission of Colorado College, and I love being part of the soccer community here in Colorado Springs. I can't wait to get started!"

Doyle joins a CC team that is coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including a run to the Elite Eight in 2023, as well as consecutive SCAC regular season titles.

Last season the Tigers finished the season with a 16-3-3 record, an undefeated 10-0-1 record in the SCAC and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after defeating Pacific Lutheran in the first round.

Doyle also spent two seasons at Grand Canyon University, leading the Lopes to a WAC championship and NCAA tournament appearance in 2018.

His coaching resume also includes stints at Virginia Tech, Creighton, Penn State, William & Mary and Mercer. At Creighton, he helped guide the Blue Jays to six NCAA Tournament appearances.

A former standout goalkeeper at Creighton, Doyle earned Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1992.

Originally from Katy, Texas, Doyle earned his bachelor's degree in interpersonal communications from Bowling Green State University in 1996 and his Master of Science in Sports Science from Ohio University in 2018.
