The Colorado College volleyball team opened SCAC play with a convincing, three-set sweep over Texas Lutheran Friday afternoon in Seguin, Texas.

The Tigers kept the pressure on the entire match en route to a 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 victory

Camille Sherrill led all players with 17 kills, followed by
Carolyn Dormady and
Brooke Brilliant with eight apiece. Freshman
Delaney Dorscht equaled her career-high with four kills.

Colorado College (8-3, 1-0 SCAC) broke a 21-all tie in the first set with three straight points to take a 24-21 lead. Following a point by the Bulldogs, Brilliant put down a kill to clinch the set.

TLU (3-7, 0-1) rallied from a 10-7 deficit in the second set to take an 11-10 lead, but the Tigers struck back by winning five of the next six points for a 15-12 lead, extended it to 21-18 and won the final four points, including a set-clinching kill from Dormady.

The Tigers trailed 3-1 in the third set, but a 5-1 run put them ahead 6-4 and they never trailed the rest of the final frame.

Annie Joo led CC with 19 assists, while
Camden Goodman had 10 and
Meghan Gannon collected a team-high 15 digs, followed by Goodman with 11 and
Nyah Flores with a eason-high 10.

"This was a great way to start conference play," head coach
Sharon Dingman said. "Everyone played high level volleyball today and
Nyah Flores was the big game changer for us today."

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, Sept, 20, with a match against Concordia University in Austin, Texas, beginning at noon CT.
