The Colorado College volleyball team pulled out a thrilling, five-set victory over George Fox Sunday afternoon in Newberg, Ore.

After dropping the first set 25-18, the Tigers rebounded to win the next two sets with ease, 25-12 and 25-11.

An epic fourth set saw George Fox save four match points and rally to win, 33-31, to force the deciding set.

The Tigers (5-2) hung in there and won the fifth set, 15-12, winning four of the final five points after an 11-11 tie for their third consecutive victory.

Brooke Brilliant once again led the way for the Tigers, pacing all players with 18 kills. She committed just one error in 23 attempts for an outstanding .739 hitting percentage.

Carolyn Dormady and
Camille Sherrill followed with 15 and 12 kills, respectively, while
Annie Joo collected a career-high 28 assists and
Camden Goodman had 21.

Sherrill tied her career-high with a team-high 21 digs, followed by
Meghan Gannon with 18.

"It was very beneficial for us to play five sets today as we continue to learn about our team," head coach
Sharon Dingman said. "I am very proud of the grit we displayed today."
The Tigers return to action next weekend with three matches at the Carthage Tournament in Kenosha, Wis. CC will face Concordia University on Friday, Sept. 12, at 5 p.m. CT, followed by No. 13 UW-Platteville and Carthage on Saturday, Sept, 13.
