"I'm so incredibly proud of our team and their toughness they showed this weekend," head coach
Jeff Conarroe said. "We played great Friday but just came up short as a few things didn't fall our way. The mental, physical and emotional fortitude required for our team to respond in the way they did today was impressive, especially after seeing our lead slip away at the end of regulation."
The Tigers never trailed in the first half and built an 11-point lead with 4:27 remaining before the break. TLU briefly held a three-point advantage early, but CC controlled the tempo for 41:42 of game time.

Ty Hendler led the Tigers with 19 points, going 9-for-12 at the free-throw line, while adding six rebounds.
Senior
Asher Nofziger recorded a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, including six offensive boards.
Junior
Gavin Carter finished with 16 points and a team-high seven assists.
Freshman
Kyle Kihlberg added 10 points and four rebounds, and
Terrion Benson provided 14 points off the bench on 6-of-6 shooting from the field.
CC shot 40.6 percent (28-69) from the field and 31.6 percent (6-19) from three-point range. The Tigers dominated the glass with a 58-44 rebounding advantage and held a 23-8 edge in second-chance points. Colorado College also outscored Texas Lutheran 42-26 in the paint and received 27 bench points.
TLU was led by Semaj Edwards with 25 points and Mason Wallace with 23.
"We really got some outstanding play from our veteran guys this weekend but I'm most excited to see our defense starting to come into form," Conarroe said. "It's been a priority for us and our rebounding margin and defensive field goal percentage has been really good the last couple of games. It ton it for us tonight. But that's a testament to these guys resilience and character, they are a great group to coach."
Colorado College returns to action next week against McMurry in Abeline, Texas on Friday, Feb. 6.
