The Colorado College women's tennis team concluded its fall season this weekend at the ITA Division III West Region Championships in Claremont, Calif.
 
In singles, freshman Natalie Anaya advanced to the quarterfinals of the 'B' flight with straight-set wins over Alicia Dewitt  of UC Santa Cruz and Marley Deswood of Redlands, before falling to Sophia Truong of Redlands, 6-1, 6-1.
 
In the top flight, senior Kala Komanduri and juniors Aspen Young and Ally Lowe each lost her match in the round of 32, but Young advanced to the consolation final, where she lost to Anika Malik of Claremont, 6-3, 7-5.
 
In doubles, Komanduri and Young defeated Daniela Alper and Catelyn Nakayla Isman of Occidental, 8-0, in the first round, but fell to Emily Gao and Rachel Garton of Claremont, 8-1, in the round of 16.
 
Meanwhile, Lowe and Anaya lost in the first round, but won a pair of matches in the consolation bracket before narrowly falling to Elina Shalaev and Greta Nagy of Occidental, 8-7(5), in the semis.

"We competed at a high level this weekend in some excessively hot and adverse conditions," head coach Anthony Weber said. "It was impressive to have three of our players make the A Draw in one of the strongest regions in Division III and similarly humbled by the level of tennis."
