Colorado College completed a season sweep of Texas Lutheran with a 63–53 victory on Sunday afternoon at Reid Arena, securing sole possession of first place in the SCAC Gold Division standings.
The win marked CC's first regular-season sweep of its conference rival since 2022 and capped a weekend that strengthened the Tigers' position atop the division race.

The Tigers (18-5, 13-1 SCAC) established control early and never trailed. They set the tone defensively in the opening quarter, limiting Texas Lutheran to just six points while building an 18-6 advantage. CC carried that momentum into the second period, extending the lead to 40-21 at halftime behind efficient perimeter shooting and strong rebounding.
Junior JuJu Garcia delivered a breakout performance to lead the Tigers, scoring a career-high 15 points while connecting on five three-pointers. Junior Isa Nelson added 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Freshman Rayna Welsch recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Senior Kayla Mackel contributed eight points and six rebounds with an assist, while senior Andie Will helped orchestrate the offense with seven assists, four steals, and six points.
Texas Lutheran mounted its strongest push midway through the third quarter, capitalizing on transition opportunities and tightening defensively to trim the deficit into single digits. CC responded quickly with a scoring burst late in the period and carried that energy into the fourth quarter, where the Tigers rebuilt a comfortable cushion and led for more than 39 minutes of game time.
Colorado College shot 38.6 percent from the field and 44.8 percent from three-point range while holding a 39-37 rebounding advantage. The Tigers also forced 14 turnovers and limited Texas Lutheran to just two made three-pointers.
Texas Lutheran (16-7, 11-3 SCAC) was led by Davi'Yanna Jones with 15 points.
"Tonight was a breakout night for JuJu and showcased everything we know to be true about her ability as a sharpshooter," head coach Katherine Auguste said. "In addition, Isa was incredible from behind the arc tonight. Those two leading the way with timely scores kept us in a great position to earn this key win."
With the victory, Colorado College remains alone atop the SCAC Gold Division standings as the regular season enters its final stretch when it hosts Centenary on Friday at Reid Arena.
