Colorado College dropped an 88-68 decision to Schreiner on Sunday afternoon at Stephens Family Arena.
The Tigers (9-12, 7-5 SCAC) carried a 40-36 lead into halftime, but Schreiner (10-12, 7-5) took control after the break by outscoring CC 52-28 in the second half.
CC built its largest lead at eight points early in the first half, leaning on efficient perimeter shooting to stay in front at the break. Schreiner answered with a strong second-half surge, pushing the margin to as many as 20 in the final minute.
Senior Asher Nofziger led CC with 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting and added seven rebounds and four assists. Earlier this season, Nofiziger also reached 1,000 career points.Â
Junior Gavin Carter finished with 10 points, while freshman Ryan Kranz pulled down seven rebounds.
CC shot 36.5 percent from the field (23-63) and went 8-for-24 from three-point range. Schreiner shot 49.2 percent (31-63) and scored 44 points in the paint, while holding a 44-34 rebounding advantage. Schreiner also went 18-for-21 at the free-throw line.
