Colorado College senior Rabbit Barnes advanced to the final of the men's mile race at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday afternoon in Birmingham, Ala.
 
Barnes placed second in his heat in the prelims on Friday with a time of 4:12.90, the seventh-fastest time among the 20 runners.

Barnes will run in the final on Saturday, March 14, at 4:10 p.m. (CT), at the Birmingham Crossplex.
