The Colorado College women's tennis team captured its second consecutive 7-0 victory on Saturday, this time against Texas Lutheran in Seguin, Texas.
The Tigers, ranked 36
th in the latest ITA Division III poll, did not lose a game in sweeping the three doubles matches for an early 1-0 lead.
Lucia Moravek and
Aspen Young defeated Lindsay Beville and Lucero Alvarado in the No. 1 match, while
Ally Lowe and
Kala Komanduri downed Farah Standley and Isabella Hill at No. 2.
Lindsay Popeo and
Avery Hickman completed the sweep by blanking Adison Ortega and Isabella Barber at the No. 3 spot.
CC (4-2, 2-0 SCAC) then captured all six singles matches in straight sets, including the second 6-0, 6-0, victory by Komanduri in as many days. She defeated Standley on Saturday.
Young (No. 1), Lowe (No. 2), Moravek (No. 5) and Popeo (No. 6) each lost just one game in her match.
The Tigers (5-2, 3-0 SCAC) return to action on Sunday, March 15, with yet another SCAC match against Concordia University in Austin, Texas, beginning at 10 a.m. (CT).
