Tigers Wrap Up Spring Break Trip With Big Win Over Chapman

The No. 36 Colorado College women's tennis team wrapped up its 2026 spring break trip in fine fashion Saturday, defeating Chapman University, 7-0, in Orange, Calif.   
 
The Tigers, who won eight of their nine matches on the trip, took a 1-0 lead by winning the Nos, 2- and 3 doubles matches. Kala Komanduri and Ally Lowe won the No. 2 match, 6-3, over Lucy Wallin and Chloe McBride, while Lindsay Popeo and Avery Hickman captured a 6-4 decision over Jaya Manhas and Sofiya Khegay at the No. 3 spot.
 
The Tigers kept the momentum through the singles matches, winning five of the six in straight sets. Aspen Young downed McBride, 6-4, 6-3, at the top spot, followed by Lowe beating Wallin, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2. Lucia Moravek rallied to win the No. 4 match, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0(6) over Khegay.
 
The Tigers (10-3) return to action on Friday, March 27, against SCAC foe University of the Ozarks at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
