The No. 36 Colorado College women's tennis team wrapped up its 2026 spring break trip in fine fashion Saturday, defeating Chapman University, 7-0, in Orange, Calif.
The Tigers, who won eight of their nine matches on the trip, took a 1-0 lead by winning the Nos, 2- and 3 doubles matches.
Kala Komanduri and
Ally Lowe won the No. 2 match, 6-3, over Lucy Wallin and Chloe McBride, while
Lindsay Popeo and
Avery Hickman captured a 6-4 decision over Jaya Manhas and Sofiya Khegay at the No. 3 spot.
The Tigers kept the momentum through the singles matches, winning five of the six in straight sets.
Aspen Young downed McBride, 6-4, 6-3, at the top spot, followed by Lowe beating Wallin, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 2.
Lucia Moravek rallied to win the No. 4 match, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0(6) over Khegay.
The Tigers (10-3) return to action on Friday, March 27, against SCAC foe University of the Ozarks at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
