The No. 25 Colorado College women's tennis team remained perfect in the SCAC Friday night with a dominating 7-0 victory over the University of the Ozarks at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs.
The Tigers, who improved to 11-3 overall, lost just three sets in sweeping the three doubles matches for an early 1-0 lead.
Lucia Moravek and
Aspen Young defeated Kelsey Smith and Brooke Humphrey in the No. 1 match, 6-2, while
Ally Lowe and
Avery Hickman downed Erika Jones and Madison Hamilton at No. 2, 6-1.
Lindsay Popeo and
Abby Wilson blanked Emerson Corbin and Baylee Parnell, 6-0, at the No. 3 spot.
CC then captured all six singles matches in straight sets, including five of them by a 6-0, 6-0 margin.
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 28, with a pair of matches against Colorado Mesa, beginning at 1 p.m., and SCAC foe Hendrix College at 6:30 p.m. Both matches will be played at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs.
