The Colorado College women's tennis team captured a pair of matches Saturday at Lifetime Fitness, defeating Division II Colorado Mesa, 4-3, and SCAC-foe Hendrix College, 7-0.  
 
The Tigers, ranked 25^th in Division III, rallied from a 1-0 deficit to Colorado Mesa after Mavericks won the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles matches. Lucia Moravek and Aspen Young won the No. 1 match for CC, 6-3, over Devyn Rodriguez and Jade Brilhante.
 
Brilhante gave CMU a 2-0 lead with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kala Komanduri at the No. 3 singles spot, but the next two matches off the court were as thrilling a pair of matches anyone will see in a long time, ad propelled CC to the team win.
 
Ally Lowe started it by rallying to defeat Valentina Gonzalez, 6-7(7), 6-0, 1-0(10) at the No. 2 position, then just minutes later, Young finished a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0(11) decision over Rodriguez to even the match at 2-2.
 
Avery Hickman posted a 6-1, 6-1 win over Catalina Ballon at No. 5, but Lindsay Popeo dropped a 2-6, 6-2, 1-0(7) decision to Jane Steur at No. 6, meaning the match would come down to the No. 4 spot between CC's Lucia Moravek and CMU's Delia Maier.
 
Maier won the first set, 6-2, but Moravek battled back to win the second, 7-5, then survived the 10-point tiebreak, 11-9, to seal the team match for the Tigers.
 
In the evening match, the Tigers lost just one game in sweeping the three doubles matches against Hendrix.
 
Colorado College then won all six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 13-3 overall and remain a perfect 6-0 in the SCAC.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 11, against SCAC-foe the University of St. Thomas at Lifetime Fitness, beginning at 1 p.m.
