Sophomore Riley Sterling scored the overtime game-winner on a free-position shot with 57 seconds remaining to lift No. 24 Colorado College to an 11-10 victory over No. 16 St. John Fisher on Saturday afternoon at Washburn Field.

Freshman Maddie Jenks recorded two goals, and sophomore Grace Weber contributed a goal and an assist. Junior Charlotte Iler and Sterling each added a goal for CC.

Colorado College opened the scoring when Mancino found the back of the net early in the first quarter, but St. John Fisher answered and the teams traded goals throughout the opening half. CC carried a 5-5 tie into halftime after Mancino scored three times in the first two quarters.

St. John Fisher took its first lead early in the third quarter before CC responded behind goals from Jenks to keep the game even. Weber gave the Tigers an 8-7 lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals answered with back-to-back goals to regain the advantage.

Iler tied the game at 9-9 midway through the fourth quarter before Mancino scored again to put CC ahead 10-9 with just under four minutes remaining. St. John Fisher responded with a goal with 1:54 left in regulation to force overtime.

After both teams traded possessions in the extra period, Sterling converted the free-position opportunity to secure the ranked victory for CC.
