TIgers Post Second Straight Shutout

The Colorado College women's lacrosse team remained perfect in the WIAC Saturday morning with a 22-0 victory over Augsburg University at Washburn Field.
 
Grace Weber scored a season-high three goals, while Sofia Mancino, Charlotte Iler, Ella Roe, Maddie Jenks, Meilani Molina and Beatrix Nace each scored twice.
 
Weber had two assists and Roe collected three as each produced a game-high five points.
 
The Tigers (9-3, 5-0) took command early, took a 10-0 lead after the first quarter, then scored six more times in the second.
 
Defensively, the Tigers controlled possession throughout, winning the ground ball battle, 17-1 and forcing 14 Auggie turnovers.
 
Senior goalkeeper Cassidy Schnaufer made one save in 30 minutes and also closed out the scoring with the first goal of her career. Freshman Natalie Bernstein did not have to make a save in her 30 minutes of action.
 
Colorado College, which received votes in the latest IWLCA poll returns to action on Thursday, April 16, at 21st-ranked University of Chicago.
