CC Rolls to SCAC Regular-Season Championship

The Colorado College women's tennis team captured its first regular-season conference championship in program history on Saturday with a pair of road 7-0 victories over Austin College and the University of Dallas. 
 
The Tigers, ranked 21st in Division III, improved to 18-3 overall and 10-0 in the SCAC and rolled through the conference schedule by winning all 10 matches by a 7-0 margin.
 
In Saturday's opener against Austin College, Colorado College lost just one game in the nine matches, then lost only two games in the two double matches and one in the five singles matches against the University of Dallas as the Crusaders only fielded five players.
 
"Coming out of last year's disappointment in the conference finals, this group was motivated to make some bold statements this season," head coach Anthony Weber said. "They have done that, and the regular season crown is another step towards a run to the NCAA Tournament." 

The Tigers open next weekend's SCAC Championships on Saturday, April 25, in Kerrville, Texas, beginning at 9 a.m. (CT).
