Tiger Hockey Production Named Finalist for Two SVG Awards

Two Colorado College hockey productions have been named finalists for the 2026 College Sports Media Awards, presented by the Sports Video Group (SVG) in association with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA).

The production of the game at Ed Robson Arena against Arizona State on Jan. 30, and against Denver on Feb. 6, are two of 14 finalists in the Outstanding Live Game Production/Collegiate Athletics – Championship category. The other finalists are Brown University Hockey, Dayton Men's Basketball, Kennesaw State Football and Men's Basketball, Liberty Baseball, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball, Miami University Men's Basketball, Minnesota Duluth Hockey (2), Princeton University Hockey and Tulane Men's Basketball.

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and announced at the 18th-annual SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA, at the SVG College Summit in the Hilton Atlanta Hotel on Wednesday, May 27, at 5 p.m. (ET).

"Congratulations to all of this year's finalists,"  says Tom Buffolano, chairman of the SVG College Sports Media Awards in association with NACDA. " As we continue to see growth in the quantity and quality of submissions, it is apparent that video-production teams are adapting to and investing in new technology to expand their capabilities to produce a variety of video — both live and on demand. Not only are they able to engage their fan bases with a consistent level of professional quality, brand messaging, and storytelling, but they also provide revenue-generating opportunities at a high level for sponsor integration found nowhere else in sports."

In 2025, Colorado College, led by Kelly McCommons, technical producer at Robson Arena, won the first-place award for the show open of the Dec. 13, 2024, hockey game at Ed Robson Arena against Denver, 75 Years of Rivalry, in the Outstanding Live Non-Game Production category,
