Colorado College heads into arguably the most grueling segment of its 2008 schedule this week when the Tigers make a long road trip east for two key Conference USA matches.

CC travels to Greenville, N.C., to meet league-leading East Carolina University at 4 p.m. (ET) Friday, then hops over to Huntington, W.Va., for a noon (ET) contest against Marshall University on Sunday.

The Tigers, 10-4-1 overall and 4-2 in conference play, currently are tied for second in the league standings. Four of their five remaining regular-season games are on the road. Despite last Sunday's overtime loss to UCF, they remain ninth and tied for 10th in the weekly Central Region polls conducted by SoccerBuzz.com and the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America).

Sunday's loss ended a 10-game home-field undefeated streak dating back almost a full year. Colorado College had gone 9-0-1 at Stewart Field, including a 7-0-1 mark in '08, since suffering a 3-2 loss to UTEP on October 13,  2007. CC is 3-3 away from home this fall.
