Ranked No. 1 in the national polls for the third consecutive week, Colorado College attempts to keep its undefeated record intact and climb into first place in the WCHA standings with a two-game series at home against the University of North Dakota.

Facoff at the World Arena is 7:37 p.m. (MT) Friday and 7:07 p.m. Saturday.

At 5-0-3 overall, the Tigers are off to their best start since the 1995-96 campaign, when they went 15-0-3 before losing for the first time. They proceeded to reach the NCAA championship game against the University of Michigan that season.

With league-leading Minnesota playing host to New Hampshire in a pair of non-conference games at Mariucci Arena this weekend, CC can pull even with or overtake the 4-0-2 Gophers with some success against the Fighting Sioux, who are visiting the World Arena for the first time since early January 2007.

Meanwhile, sophomore goalie Richard Bachman was named WCHA Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts against the University of Denver last Friday and Sunday. Bachman stopped 84 of 88 DU shots in the series as the Tigers earned three points with a 2-2 tie and 3-2 victory.
