Colorado College's season-opening match against Colorado State University-Pueblo on Friday afternoon was suspended because of darkness with score tied at 3-3 and will be completed at a later date.
The match was originally scheduled to be played at the Garden of the Gods club, but was moved to CC's Burghardt Tennis Courts due to the snow which fell on Thursday night. But with only six courts available for both women's and men's matches, the final three singles matches could not be completed.
Jordan Evans and Tori Marsh breezed to an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, while Natalie Donnelly and Erin Yamamoto were nearly as efficient during their 8-3 triumph at No. 3 doubles which gave the Tigers a 2-1 lead.
Britt Swenson extended her personal winning streak to 17 matches with a dominating 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles, but the Thunderwolves tied the match when Morgan Forsyth defeated Jordan Evans 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles and Cindy Boughton held on for 6-3, 7-5 victory at No. 6.
Deanna Thirkell (No. 2), Donnelly (No. 4) and Yamamoto (No. 5) are CC's players with matches to complete.
