Natalie Donnelly came from behind to defeat Marianne Evangelista at No. 4 singles and give Colorado College a 5-4 victory at Metropolitan State College of Denver on Thursday afternoon.

The Tigers appeared to be in complete control after winning all three doubles points for just the season time this season, but the Roadrunners tied the match by winning four of the first five singles matches.

In the deciding contest, Evangelista took the first set by one break, only to see Donnelly rally for the 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 victory.

Donnelly started her day by combining with partner Erin Yamamoto for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles, their team-leading fifth victory of the season.

Jordan Evans and Britt Swenson prevailed by an 8-2 score at No. 1 doubles, while Deanna Thirkell and Tori Marsh won for the fourth time in the last five matches by taking an 8-6 decision at No. 3.

Thirkell earned CC's fourth point with a dominating performance at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-1 for her team-best sixth individual triumph of the year.

But after Evans and Swenson lost in third-set super-tiebreakers at No. 1 and 2 singles, the Tigers needed Donnelly's heroics to remain perfect against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents at 4-0.

Colorado College is idle until April 16 when the Tigers face Austin College in the first of four matches against Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opponents at the Rhodes College Invitational in Memphis, Tenn.
