View complete press release »

Playing at home for the first time since the end of August, Colorado College meets a couple of red-hot Central Region opponents at Stewart Field this week while completing its non-conference schedule for the 2010 regular season.

CC, which went undefeated (2-0-2) in four matches on the road the last two weekends to improve to 3-1-2 overall, takes on the University of Northern Colorado at 4 p.m. MT Thursday, then entertains nationally ranked Oklahoma State University at 1 p.m. Sunday. Thursday's contest against UNC originally was scheduled for Wednesday.

Both of this week's foes promise to be tough tests for the Tigers, who have climbed to No. 7 in the NSCAA regional poll. Northern Colorado, though unranked, currently owns a four-game (3-0-1) unbeaten streak and is 5-2-1 overall this campaign. OSU, which takes a 6-1 record into Friday's contest at home against Mississippi State University, sits at No. 2 in the Central Region poll as well as at No. 13 nationally. The Cowgirls have posted four consecutive victories.

Thursday's tilt marks the 16th official meeting between Colorado College and UNC but the first since the Bears joined the ranks of NCAA Division I in 2007. The Tigers have won all 15 previous encounters, including a 2-1 victory at Stewart Field in the most recent one on Nov. 6, 2004.

CC and Oklahoma State battled to a 0-0 tie in Stillwater, Okla., in their only previous meeting, on Sept. 21, 2007.

One of three Conference USA teams entering the final weekend of non-league competition with only one loss, Colorado College has allowed only five goals in its six games to date. All three of its victories have been shutouts.
