After winning six consecutive matches to open the season, Colorado College will now be looking for a quick stop to another streak.
After suffering their first loss against Hope College on Tuesday night, the Tigers dropped a 7-2 decision against Luther College on Wednesday afternoon.
CC lost all three doubles contests for the first time this season and never had a legitimate chance to win the match.
There were, however, a couple of bright spots in singles play.
Jordan Evans extended her winning streak to six matches with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles by winning the last four points.
At No. 3 singles, Katie Patterson snapped a three-match skid with 6-3, 6-3 triumph.
“We played awful in doubles,” head coach Perry Wright said. “I was happy that Katie was finally able to get the monkey off her back as she has been struggling to get her singles game going. Jordan also did a great job talking herself back into her match.”
Colorado College will attempt to snap its two-game slide on Wednesday against SUNY-New Paltz.
