Katie Patterson dropped just two points while winning a pair of matches for the seventh this season as Colorado College cruised to an 8-1 victory at Colorado State University-Pueblo on Wednesday night. 

Patterson and Erin Yamamoto combined for an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles to give the Tigers the early momentum, and then she rolled to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles for her 11th individual triumph of the season. 

Maddy Bush and Caila Criss recorded an 8-3 triumph at No. 3 doubles, and CC swept the doubles points for just the third time this season when the No. 1 team of Jordan Evans and Deanna Thirkell claimed an 8-3 decision. 

Tori March won for the fourth time in her last five matches with a convincing 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles, and Criss sealed the team victory by posting a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4.

Yamamoto gave the Tigers a 6-0 lead with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles, and then Evans recorded her 11th win of the year by a 6-1, 6-1 count at No. 2.  

Morgan Forsyth denied CC the sweep when she hung on for a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Thirkell at No. 1 singles. 

The Tigers improved to 10-5 overall and 6-0 against Division II opponents, taking the season series against the ThunderWolves by a combined 15-3 count.

Colorado College tunes up for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships this weekend by playing host to four exhibition matches against in-state club teams in the 2011 Front Range Classic.
