CC pulled to within 63-58 when sophomore guard
Chris Mayo-Smith scored on a layup with 3:16 to play, but that was as close as the Tigers would get and Austin padded its advantage by making six of eight charity tosses during the final minute.
The Tigers slipped to 5-6 overall and 2-2 in the SCAC. The 'Roos improved to 7-6 overall and tied Trinity for first place in the division with a 3-1 conference mark.

Ryan Milne finished with 15 points and dished out six assists, while junior forward
Ian Rewoldt reached double figures with 12 points. Lesnansky grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
The 'Roos led 31-19 after Jordan Hancock drained a 3-pointer with 3:49 remaining in the first half, but Waters scored four points during a 7-0 run that saw the Tigers pull to within five points with 2:34 to play.
AC jumped out to a 7-0 lead before Waters finally put Colorado College on the board when he connected on his first of two shots from behind the arc 3:15 into the contest.
Austin stretched its lead to double digits for the first time when Ranson Okpala drained his first 3-pointer midway through the opening frame to put AC ahead 20-9.
Okpala scored a game-high 18 points to pace the Kangaroos. Josh Saunders flirted with a triple-double and finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Austin got 28 points from its bench, compared to just 10 for the Tigers.
