Box Score Senior midfielder Elise Burchard struck for four goals in her final home appearance, but it wasn't enough to get the Tigers past Regis University.
 
The Division II Rangers scored four consecutive goals early in the second half and pulled away for a 14-6 victory over Colorado College on Thursday night at Washburn Field.
 
CC pulled to within 5-4 when Burchard netted her second tally with 44 seconds remaining in  the first half. However, Erin Todd converted on a free-position shot for Regis with just .03 on the clock to ignite a pivotal five-goal run.
 
The visitors broke the game open when they erupted for four straight goals in a span of 1:17 early in the second frame.
 
Senior midfielder Danica Cutshall, who finished with four goals and three assists, scored once and set up two other tallies during the deciding surge.
 
Burchard's third goal stopped the run with 13:59 remaining, but the momentum was short-lived as Regis got that one back when Shannon Bryant scored a little more than three minutes later.
 
The Tigers took a 3-2 lead when Madeline Scherer scored her 60th goal of the season with 13:33 remaining in the first half, but the Rangers answered with three tallies in a span of 2:08 to build a 5-3 cushion with 7:39 left before halftime.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Martha Smith steered aside six shots for Colorado College, which slipped to 13-5.
 
Freshman defender Lydia Freliech caused three turnovers, while junior midfielder Dylan Voneiff grabbed a team-high four ground balls and caused two turnovers.
 
Regis won 17 of 22 draw controls and finished with a 26-35 edge in total shots.
 
Junior goalkeeper Gianna Lombardi finished with eight saves for the Rangers, who improved to 12-3.
 
CC travels to Durango, Colo., to face Fort Lewis College in the final game of the regular season on Saturday.
