Weekly Release No. 5 >Colorado College plays its final non-conference game of the regular season when it travels to Provo, Utah, to face BYU on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
The Tigers improved to 4-1-2 overall with victories over Oakland University (1-0) and Central Michigan University (3-1) last week. The Cougars will take a 2-3-2 record into Thursday's home contest against the University of Oregon.
The series between CC and BYU is level at 1-1-0, with each team winning on its home pitch. The Tigers won the first meeting, 3-1, on Sept. 2, 1995, at Stewart Field, but the Cougars recorded a 2-0 victory on Sept. 1, 2012, in Provo.
Colorado College's balanced offense is led by
Sarah Schweiss, who has team highs of five goals and 11 points. The junior midfielder, who recorded a goal and an assist during Sunday's victory over Central Michigan, continues to lead the Mountain West in points, goals and shots (25).
Senior midfielders
Jessie Ayers and
Kaeli Vandersluis are next with six points on two goals and a pair of assists. Senior forward
Rachel Herron has two goals and an assist and ranks fourth with five points.

Alexis Long stepped back from the midfield to defender, CC has allowed just three goals in the last 535 minutes. During that span, the Tigers recorded three shutouts and lowered their team GAA from 4.09 at halftime of the DU game to 1.07.
Long, who has played all 670 minutes this season, anchors a back line that includes a pair of first-year defenders in
Ali Basom and
Anne-Sophie Lapointe. Freshman
Rowan Frederiksen has started every game in goal, where she owns a 0.82 goals-against average and an .800 saves percentage.
Colorado College plays host to its first conference games as a member of the Mountain West next week when Utah State University and Boise State University visit Stewart Field on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
