Despite winning two of the three doubles matches against Luther College, the Colorado College women's tennis team lost a 5-4 decision to the Norse Tuesday morning in Orlando, Fla.

The Tigers (3-4) jumped out to a 2-1 lead with wins at the top two doubles spots. Senior
Mary Edman and freshman
Fiona Cerf dominated the No. 1 match, 8-2, over Maggie Helms and Jenna Myers, while CC's No. 2 team of senior
Maggie Harwood and sophomore
Maddie Cahill-Sanidas pulled out a 9-8 victory over Hailey Johnson and Lauren Welch, winning the tiebreak 8-6.

Unfortunately, Luther (11-5) took the No. 3 match, which also went to a tiebreaker. Madison Crow and Anna Pearson defeated the CC duo of freshmen
Anna Smith and
Kira Lorenzen, 9-8(0).

In singles play, Cerf captured the No. 1 match, 6-2, 6-2, over Adrianna DePaolis, while fellow freshman
Natalia Dellavalle defeated Myers, 6-4, 6-4, at the No. 3 spot. Luther won the other four singles matches, all in straight sets. Cahill-Sanidas put up the best fight before falling 7-5, 6-4 to Johnson at the No. 5 position.
