The Colorado College women's tennis team raced out to a 4-2 lead Saturday but could not hold on as Schreiner University rallied for a 5-4 victory in Kerrville, Texas.

After winning one of the three doubles matches, an 8-6 victory by senior
Mary Edman and freshman
Fiona Cerf over Leanna Haynes and Camila Angiano at the No. 1 spot, Â the Tigers stormed to victories at the top three singles spots to take its 4-2 lead.

Cerf won the No. 1 match, 7-6, 6-4, over Haynes, while Edman cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Alex Wheeler. Freshman
Natalia Dellavalle then dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-o decision over Karyn Swink at the No. 3 position.

The Mountaineers won at Nos. 4 and 5 in straight sets, then Abby Knedlik clichéd the match for SU with a 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 victory at No. 6 over freshman
Kira Lorenzen.
