Colorado College wraps up its nine-game non-conference slate with a pair of home matches this week. The Tigers play host to Cal State Bakersfield on Friday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m., and Baylor University on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m.

CC is now 1-5-1 after tying Weber State University, 2-2, on the road and dropping a 2-1 overtime decision to the University of Kansas at home on Sunday. The Tigers currently are 1-4-0 at Stewart Field and 0-1-1 on the road.

Cal State Bakersfield, a member of the Western Athletic Conference, slipped to 1-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 on the road after dropping a 2-1 decision at the University of Hawai'i on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Baylor, which competes in the Big 12, is 3-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 away from home. Baylor, who plays at Air Force on Friday, improved to 3-4-1 by defeating Northern Illinois University (2-0) and the University of Texas-San Antonio (8-0) at home last week. The Bears are 1-1-1 on the road so far this year.

Colorado College and Cal State Bakersfield meet for the first time on Friday afternoon. The Tigers are 1-1-1 in three previous matches with Baylor. In the first meeting on Oct. 19, 1997, the teams played to a 2-2 tie at Stewart Field. BU posted a 3-1 victory on Sept. 17, 2000, in Waco, Texas, then CC answered with a 3-1 triumph at home on Nov. 2, 2001.

The Tigers, who average 0.71 goals per contest this season while allowing 1.86, are led by senior midfielder Sarah Schweiss and freshman midfielder Lauren Milliet with a goal and an assist apiece. Sophomore goalkeeper Louisa Mackenzie has played all 665:54 in goal and owns a .740 saves percentage along with a 1.76 goal-against average.

Cal State Bakersfield averages 1.50 goals per game while conceding 2.0. Senior goalkeeper Tori Ornela, who owns a 1.93 GAA along with a 1-4-1 record, set the program records for career saves and minutes played earlier this year. Sophomore forward Maja Green leads the team with three goals and six points, while freshman forward Aminah Settles is close behind with two goals and an assist.

Thanks in part to last week's rout of UTSA, Baylor averages 2.62 goals per game while allowing 1.12. Freshman midfielder Sarah King leads the Bears with five assists and nine points. Senior defender McKenna Martin and freshman midfielder Julie James both have a team-high three goals and are tied for second with seven points. Junior Sara Martinson is 2-3-1 in goal with a 1.02 GAA and .500 saves ratio.

Colorado College kicks off its second season in the Mountain West with road games at the University of Nevada in Reno on Friday, Sept. 25, and UNLV on Sunday, Sept. 27. The following week, the Tigers begin a four-game home stand when Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming visit Stewart Field on Oct. 2 and 4, respectively.
