Tigers Drop 2-0 Decision to Baylor

Box Score Baylor scored a pair of goals in the first half and went on to record a 2-0 win over Colorado College on Sunday afternoon at Stewart Field.
 
Freshman forward Lauren Piercy put the Bears on the board in the 20th minute when she found the net with a shot from the top of the penalty area after taking a pass from classmate Sarah King.
 
First-year forward Jackie Crowther came off the bench to double BU's lead with 8:35 remaining in the first half on a shot into the left side of the net off of a header touch from Piercy.
 
In addition to her goal and assist, Piercy earned a red card for a cleats-up tackle with one minute remaining in the game.
 
Baylor finished with a 14-3 advantage in total shots. Both teams took a pair of corner kicks.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Louisa Mackenzie made two saves for the Tigers, who finished their non-conference schedule with a 2-6-1 ledger.
 
Junior keeper Sara Martinson stopped a pair of shots for the Bears, who improved to 5-4-1.
 
Colorado College kicks off its Mountain West schedule on Friday, Sept. 25, at the University of Nevada in Reno.
