It's one crucial game after another for Colorado College as it attempts to keep its postseason aspirations alive this week against San Jose State University and Fresno State. The Tigers play host to conference-leading SJSU at 3 p.m. MT on Friday at Stewart Field, and then jet to Fresno, Calif., for a Sunday showdown with the Bulldogs in a contest that kicks off at noon PT. Â

CC is 5-7-4 overall and 2-4-2 in the Mountain West after splitting a pair of home games last week. The Tigers defeated San Diego State University, 2-1, on Friday, but fell by the same score to the University of New Mexico two days later. Colorado College is 4-3-1 at home this season and 1-4-3 on the road.

San Jose State is 9-5-1 overall and 6-1-1 in conference play after recording two road victories last week. The Spartans slipped past UNLV, 3-2, and then cruised to a 2-0 win at the University of Nevada. SJSU is 2-3-1 on the road this year.

Fresno State takes an 8-5-3 overall record and a 3-3-2 MW mark into Friday's home game against Air Force. The Bulldogs are 5-3-0 at home this season, including a 2-2-0 record in conference games.

The Tigers are gunning for their first-ever victory over the Spartans on Friday. San Jose State prevailed in all three previous meetings with CC, including a 2-0 victory in their first visit to Stewart Field in 2015.

Fresno State holds a 2-1-1 lead in the series with CC after recording back-to-back 1-0 wins the last two seasons in Colorado Springs. The Tigers posted a 2-1 victory in its only previous trip to Fresno in 2014. Including the 1-1 non-conference deadlock at Stewart Field in 2011, the home team has never won in the four previous meetings.

Colorado College averages 1.12 goals per game while allowing 1.31. The Tigers feature junior midfielder
Lauren Milliet, who leads the team with single-season highs of six goals and 16 points, and junior forward
Clara Richter, who is second with three goals and 10 points. Both Milliet and Richter have a team-best four assists.

Ali Basom and
Anne-Sophie Lapointe, and goalkeeper
Rowan Frederiksen, helped Colorado College post a 34-35-4 record and qualify for the Mountain West postseason tournament in two of their first three seasons.

Basom started 46 of the 67 games in which she played and helped the Tigers record 23 shutouts during the last four seasons. She had a pair of assists, including one on the game-winning goal last Friday against San Diego State.

Lapointe started 65 of the 72 in which she played and, in addition to the 23 shutouts, scored two goals and added two assists. She scored her first goal in the 2-1 overtime victory against Wyoming in 2015 and struck again in last season's 2-0 win over Air Force.

Despite suffering a pair of season-ending injuries, Frederiksen finished her career with a 12-5-3 record, posted a 1.15 goals-against average and a had a .750 saves percentage. She recorded seven career shutouts, the last of which was a 3-0 win over the University of Denver in the 2016 Colorado Cup. Â

Colorado College plays its final game of the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Air Force. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. MT. The top six teams in the Mountain West standings qualify for the conference championship, which begins on Tuesday, Oct. 31, in Las Vegas.
