Box Score Colorado College dialed up the pressure in the second half and the Tigers pulled away for an 18-7 victory at George Fox University on Sunday afternoon at the Austin Sports Complex.
Playing its third game in 24 hours, CC had its hands full with the determined Bruins for much of the first 30 minutes. But after sophomore midfielder Lois Ray pulled the Bruins to within a point at 7-6 with 3:46 to play in the first half, the Tigers allowed only one goal the rest of the game.

Robin Hilderman was the second first-year Tigers to score twice.
CC stayed as fresh as possible by utilizing 24 players in the game and received goals from 11.
Colorado College won 16 of 25 draw controls, including eight of nine in the second half, and had a 17-10 advantage in ground balls in the second half.
The Tigers finished the contest with a decisive 44-18 advantage in total shots as well as a 34-26 margin in ground balls.
CC converted on five of 12 free-position shots, while George Fox was successful on two of three.
Freshman goaltender
Remy Wells stopped six shots for the Tigers, who improved to 7-0.
Midfielders
Mary Taussig and
Ellie Meyer caused three turnovers apiece, while
Jasmine Wallack grabbed a team-high six ground balls.
GFU received a big-time performance from senior goaltender Mikaela Easterlin, who made 13 of her 16 saves during the first half to keep her team within striking distance.
Senior midfielder Miranda Edwords led the Bruins with five goals, all of which came in the first half. Ray accounted for George Fox's other two markers.
Colorado College returns to action on Tuesday, March 21, when it opens a five-game home stand against West Region rival Chapman University at noon on Stewart Field.
