The Colorado College women's tennis team came within a couple of points of defeating CSU-Pueblo Saturday, but the Thunderwolves held on to defeat the Tigers, 6-3, at City Park in Pueblo, Colo.

CSU-Pueblo took a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches, as junior
Allie Burak and sophomore
Jenna McDonald won at the No. 1 spot, 8-5, over Acacia Dettman and Samantha Cachutt.

In singles, the Tigers attempted a comeback but fell just short. Sophomore
Caroline James defeated Dettman, 6-1, 7-5, at the No. 3 position and junior
Annie Zlevor downed Cachutt, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 5. The Thunderwolves won in straight sets at Nos. 1 and 2 and it came down to the No. 4 and No. 6 contests.

Madison Doerre at No. 4, then Kristin Jensen clinched it for the Tunderwolves with a 6-4, 4-6m 1-0(5) win over junior
