Colorado College forward
Nick Halloran, who led the Tigers in scoring with 45 points (19g,26a) this season, was named to the 2017-18 CCM/AHCA All-America West Second Team by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Â
The sophomore from Draper, Utah, led the National Collegiate Hockey Conference in scoring for a majority of the season and produced the most points in one season by a Tiger since Rylan Schwartz recorded 53 in 2012-13.
Previously, Halloran earned first-team all-conference honors after completing the '17-18 conference season with 31 points (13g,18a) in 24 league games. He finished two points behind NCHC Player of the Year and Hobey Baker finalist Henrik Borgstrom of Denver.
     Â
Halloran, who was named the NCHC Player of the Month in December and January, is Tiger Hockey's first All-American since forward Jaden Schwartz earned first-team honors in 2011-12. Chad Rau was the program's last second-team selection in 2008-09.
  Â
Since the program's inception more than seven decades ago, 45 different CC players have received All-America recognition a total of 61 times.
