For the second year in a row, Colorado College will face West Region rival Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the second round of the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.
This time, however, the match-up will be played on Sunday, May 13, at CC's Stewart Field.
Colorado College received an at-large bid after completing the regular season with a 14-4 record.
It will be the third postseason meeting between the top two programs in the West.
In 2007, the Tigers prevailed 15-9 in a game played on the turf at Washburn Field. Last year, Colorado College rallied for a 15-12 victory in a game played at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
The Tigers closed out its regular-season with a pair of victories in Texas. CC defeated Southwestern University, 24-6, on April 27 and then hung on for a 20-18 win over Meredith College less than 24 hours later.
The Athenas (17-1) also earned an at-large berth after defeating Pomona-Pitzer, 17-5, in the championship game of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.
CMS and Colorado College met earlier this year at Stewart Field, with the Athenas recording a 14-9 victory on March 18 to take a 7-6 lead in the all-time series.
The Tigers, who own a 9-9 all-time postseason record, advanced to the national semifinals in 2005, where they dropped a 15-11 decision to No. 1 Salisbury.
