A pair of undefeated teams will square off on Friday, Aug. 31, when Colorado College plays host to Columbia University in the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The game kicks off at 3 p.m. MT at historic Stewart Field on the CC campus.

Fans can watch Friday's battle against the Lions on the Tiger Sports Network (cctigers.com/watch/) or the Mountain West Network (http://www.themw.com/index.aspx).

Colorado College enters Friday's encounter with a 3-0-0 record after posting a 2-0 victory over Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in the Tigers' home opener a week ago. CC's season-opening three-game winning streak is the program's longest since it started the 2005 campaign with five consecutive victories.

The Lions will carry a 1-0-1 record into Friday's game after posting a 3-0 win over Fordham University in its most recent game last Sunday. In its first road game of the season, Columbia battled Drexel University to a 1-1 draw in Philadelphia on Aug. 24.

During its first three games, Colorado College averaged 2.0 goals per game and allowed just 0.33. Senior midfielder Lauren Milliet (Durango, CO) leads the Tigers with six points and is tied with sophomore defender Tayla Wheeler (Bend, OR) at two goals apiece. Senior forward Rae Conlon (Shaker Heights, OH) and junior forward Catie McDonald (Arlington, VA) also have scored for CC this season.

Junior midfielder Lucia Costanza (Albuquerque, NM) owns a team-leading three assists, two of which set up game winners.

Three Tigers rank among the Mountain West's offensive statistical leaders, led by Costanza who is first with three assists and an average of 1.0 assists per game. Milliet is tied for first with six points and her average of 2.0 points per game. Milliet and Wheeler are tied for third with a pair of goals and an average of 0.67 scores per game. Wheeler is tied for fifth with four points and tied for sixth with an average of 1.33 points per game.

Colorado College leads the Mountain West with just one goal allowed as well as its 0.33 goals-against average. The Tigers also are in a three-way tie for first with a pair of clean sheets. Odom ranks first in both goals-against average and save percentage, and is tied for first with two shutouts and a 0.67 shutouts per game average.

Sophomore Jade Odom has played all 270 minutes in goal and lowered her goals-against average to 0.33 and raised her season save percentage to .917.

CC now has played a little more than 253 minutes of shutout ball since allowing a first-half goal during the 2-1 victory at the University of Northern Colorado in the season opener on Aug. 16.

The Tigers allowed a season-low three total shots against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, which was the fewest in a single game since CC allowed only three shots in a 3-0 victory over the University of Nevada on Oct. 19, 2014, at Stewart Field. In 2013, The Tigers held Ball State University to a single shot while posting a 2-0 win on Washburn Field.

Columbia has also has averaged 2.0 goals per game and surrendered just 0.50 during its first two games. Senior forward Emma Anderson, freshman midfielder Mallaika Tomar and freshman defender Talia Tyler have a team-leading three points with a goal and an assist.

Senior Sophie Whitehouse has played all but 10 minutes in goal and owns a 0.47 GAA along with a .923 saves percentage. The Lions, who have eight returning starters from last year's team that posted a 9-5-2 record, were picked to finish second in the Ivy League's inaugural preseason poll.

Next week, Colorado College travels to the Lone Star State to play its final two non-conference road games. The Tigers square off with No. 8 Texas A&M on Friday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. CT in College Station, and visits Lamar University on Sunday at noon CT in Beaumont.
