The Colorado College women's tennis team played its first dual match of the 2018 fall season Saturday afternoon against the University of Texas-Permian Basin in Pueblo, Colo. The Tigers battled took both No. 1 matches and the No. 5 singles contest but fell 6-3 to the Falcons.
 
Senior Adela Burak paired with junior Jenna McDonald to defeat Amelie Saint-Dizier and Stephanie Prats, 8-3, at the No. 1 doubles spot, then downed Saint-Dizier, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 1 singles.
 
Senior Simone Hall posted a victory in the best singles match of the afternoon, defeating Jessica Madamba, 6-2, 4-6, 1-0(8) at the No. 5 spot.
 
The Tigers return to action at the ITA Regional Tournament, Sept. 28-30, in Claremont, Calif.
