The Colorado College women's tennis team opened its 2019 spring break trip with a 9-0 loss to Bethel University Sunday afternoon in Orlando, Fla.

Bethel started quick, winning all six matches in straight sets, including a 6-0, 6-0 victory by Grace Riermann over sophomore
Tess Rubin at the top spot. Senior
Annie Zlevor put up a good fight at No. 2 before falling, 6-3, 7-5, to Maggie Riermann, while senior
Simone Hall dropped a 6-1, 6-4 decision to Mackenzie Novak at No. 3.

"Annie and Simone played really well in singles for us today," head coach
Anthony Weber said.

In doubles, Bethel captured all three matches, losing just four games overall.

The Tigers (0-6) play a pair of matches on Monday, taking on St. Lawrence at 3 p.m. (ET) and Illinois Tech at 6:30 p.m.
