The Colorado College women's tennis team posted its first win of the season Saturday with a 7-2 victory over Hastings College at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs.
 
The Tigers took an early 2-1 lead with wins at the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles spots. Sophomore Tess Rubin and freshman Elise Chassman defeated Megan Waterhouse and Camilla Lee, 6-5(1) at No. 2, while freshmen Lily Salzman and Gaby Jadotte downed Lyndsay Ruane and Carolay Strehlow, 6-1, at the No. 3 position.
 
Hastings' Kelsey Brown won the No. 1 singles match, 7-5, 6-3, over Rubin, but CC won the other five singles matches, including a couple in three sets. Senior Annie Zlevor defeated Kelsey Flaherty, 7-5, 1-6, 1-0(4) at the No. 2 spot and fellow senior Simone Hall rallied for a 5-7, 6-3, 1-0(8) victory over Waterhouse at No. 3.
 
Chassman (No. 4), Salzman (No. 5) and freshman Carter Norfleet (No. 6) each won in straight sets to complete the team win.
 
The Tigers (1-10) travel to Greeley, Colo., to face Seward County Community College on Sunday, March 31, beginning at 10 a.m.
