The Colorado College women's tennis team wrapped up its 2019 campaign Saturday with a 6-3 loss to Texas Lutheran University in the fifth-place match of the 2019 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in Denison, Texas.
 
The Bulldogs took an early 2-1 lead after the doubles matches. CC's lone win came at the No. 2 spot as sophomore 
Tess Rubin and freshman 
Elise Chassman defeated Mary Eby and Illeana Ley, 8-6.
 
In singles, Rubin took three sets to beat M.P. Hubert, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, at the No. 1 position, while senior 
Simone Hall won the final match of her career, 6-2, 6-2, over Levy at the No. 3 spot.  Fellow senior 
Annie Zlevor won the first set, 6-3, at No. 2 against Madison Dyer, but dropped the final two, 6-1, 6-2.
 
TLU won at No. 4 and 6 in straight sets, while Samantha Stafford beat CC freshman 
Lily Salzman, 2-6, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
 
The Tigers finished the 2019 season with a 1-17 record.
