The Colorado College women's soccer team struck for a pair of goals during the first 11 minutes and never looked back as the Tigers cruised to a 4-0 victory over Saint Francis University on Sunday at Washburn Field.
Sophomore forward
Jacqui Hand put the Tigers on the board just 10 seconds into the game, collecting a ball that came off a Red Flash defender and blasting a shot into the upper left corner.
A little more than 10 minutes later, Hand's first touch on a cross from sophomore defender
Kayla Montoya from the edge of the six-yard box beat SFU goalkeeper Julia Herman inside the left post.
Those goals were more than enough for CC, which received a dominating performance from its defensive corps.
The Tigers allowed just five total shots, only two of which were on frame, while recording its first clean sheet of the season.
Freshman goalkeeper
Abby Opperman made a pair of saves while posting her first career shutout.
Sophomore forward
Kiley Suter scored her first goal of the season a little more than three minutes into the second half, then sophomore defender
Toni Tsamasfyros struck for her first career goal off
Jenna Wilt's short corner in the 56th minute. Â
