The Colorado College women's tennis team split a pair of matches this weekend in Hastings, Neb. The Tigers fell to McPherson College, 6-1, on Saturday, then blanked Hastings College, 7-0, on Sunday in the first dual matches of the 2020 spring campaign.
 
Senior Jenna McDonald led the way by winning three of her four matches. She posted CC's only win against McPherson, defeating Erica Paradise, 6-4, 6-0, at the No. 2 singles spot. She also won the No. 2  match Sunday over Hastings' Megan Waterhouse, 6-3, 6-0. McDonald paired with freshman Sydney Vine to win the top doubles match against Hastings, 6-1.
 
Sophomore Elise Chassman and freshman Haley Caspersen took the No. 3 doubles match on Sunday, downing Hannah Theisen and Madelyn Redding, 7-5. The tigers then swept Hastings in the six singles matches, all in straight sets.  
 
The Tigers return to action on Friday, March 13, when they open their annual spring break trip in Orlando, Fla., against Brevard College.
