The Colorado College women's soccer team hopes to turn its home field advantage into crucial points this week when it hosts pivotal Mountain West games against Boise State University and Utah State University at Stewart Field.
 
CC plays host to the Broncos on Oct. 14 in the first of three consecutive Thursday night games at 7 p.m., then wrap up the two-game home stand on Sunday, Oct. 17, against Utah State at noon.

Colorado College enters Thursday's game with 3-9-1 overall record and a 2-3-1 ledger in the Mountain West after splitting a pair of road games last week. The Tigers dropped a 1-0 decision at Colorado State University on Friday afternoon, but rallied for a 2-1 victory at the University of Wyoming on Sunday. CC also is 2-3-1 at home this season, including a 1-1-1 mark in conference play.
 
Boise State is 8-5-1 overall and 2-3-1 in the Mountain West after splitting a pair of home games last week. The Broncos dropped a 2-1 result to San Jose State University on Friday, but rebounded for a 2-1 win over Fresno State two days later. The Broncos are 3-4-1 away from home this year, 1-2-1 in MW road games.
 
Utah State takes a 10-4-1 overall record and 3-3-0 mark in the Mountain West into Thursday's game at Air Force. The Aggies are 3-2-1 overall on the road and 1-2-0 away from home in conference matches.
 
Boise State leads the all-time series against Colorado College, 4-3-0. The visiting team has won each of the last two meetings by 1-0 scores, including the 2018 game at Stewart Field that was played in near blizzard conditions. The Broncos have won three of four games played in Colorado Springs, while CC is 2-1-0 in Idaho. In the most recent matchup in Boise, the Tigers posted a 1-0 road victory in 2019 that snapped a three-game skid against the Broncos.
 
Colorado College holds a 4-3-4 edge in the series with Utah State after posting a 2-1 overtime victory in Logan and a 1-1 tie at Stewart Field during the spring season. CC is 2-1-2 in four previous games against the Aggies at Stewart Field. Utah State's only victory in Colorado Springs was a 2-1 result in 2011.
 
Senior forward Jacqui Hand leads the Tigers with three goals and seven points, while sophomore forward Lily Byrne is close behind with five points on a pair of goals and an assist. Senior forward Kiley Suter and freshman forward Kaelin Enga are tied for third with a goal and three points. Senior midfielder Jenna Wilt has a team-high two assists. Goalkeeper Taryn Benham, a graduate transfer from Northern Arizona University, has played in all 13 games, including 12 as the starter, and owns a 3-8-1 record, a 1.30 goals-against average, a .636 saves percentage.
 
Boise State scores an average of 1.43 goals per game and allows 0.79. Junior forward Keile Hansen leads the Broncos with three goals and seven points, while freshman midfielder Kenzie MacMillan is close behind with six points on two goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Sophie Brown and senior forward Dorian Goodwin are next with five points and a pair of goals. Senior Sydney Smith and sophomore Genevieve Crenshaw have nearly identical stats in goal. Smith 4-3-0 with a 0.77 GAA and .786 saves percentage, while Crenshaw is 4-2-1 with a 0.76 GAA and a .773 saves ratio.
 
Utah State scores an average of 1.40 goals per game and concedes 0.93. Senior midfielder Ashley Cardozo leads the Aggies with five goals, 10 assists and 20 points. Junior forward Sara Taylor is second on the team with four assists and 12 points, and is tied with senior forward Sammie Murdock for second place with four goals. Murdock, senior forward Jordan Foraker and senior defender Imelda Williams all have a pair of game-winning goals. Junior Diera Walton has played all 1,426 minutes in goal and owns a 0.88 GAA and a .835 saves percentage.
 
Next week, Colorado College embarks on its last and longest road trip of the season when it travels to Albuquerque to face the University of New Mexico on Thursday, Oct. 21, then flies to the West Coast to play San Diego State University on Sunday, Oct. 24. The Tigers close out the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 28, when they play host Air Force at 7 p.m. on Stewart Field.
