Gorman, Fry Lead Tigers at Maverick Multi and Open Meet

Michael Gorman and Josh Fry once again led the Colorado College men's track and field team this weekend at the Maverick Multi and Open Meet on the campus of Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colo.

Gorman and Fry, competing against primarily Division II teams, were outstanding on the track Saturday. Gorman finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.68 seconds, just shy of the school record of 49.25, set in 2002. Gorman also placed seventh in the 200 with a time of 22.47.

Fry, meanwhile, put together a fourth-place finish in the 800 with a time of 1:55.57, and placed 11th in the 1500 with a time of 3:55.62.

Logan Henning and Max Saliman also produced top-10 results on Saturday. Henning finished fourth in the javelin and Saliman was fifth in the 3000 steeplechase.

Other top performances by the Tigers include Luke Bleckman (10th in the long jump), Sam Rodriguez (11th in the 800) and Leighton Graham (12th in the shot put).

The Tigers return to action on April 24-25 at the SCAC Championships in Irving, Texas.
