The Colorado College men's swimming and diving team sits in second place and the Tiger women are in third after the first day of competition at the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky.

Liam McCarthy posted the best individual result for the Tigers on Friday, placing fifth in the 50 freestyle, while
Edmund Davis and
Collin Ralston finished seventh in the 500 freestyle and 200 IM, respectively.

On the women's side, the 200 freestyle relay team of
Megan Simonson,
Sarah Buchman,
Pilar Pagni and
Julia Cox swam to an impressive third-place finish.

Individually,
Abby Romisher placed fifth in the 500 freestyle and Simonson and Cox finished seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 50 freestyle.

Adeline Turner,
Malia Hewitt,
Alyssa Tunggal and Cox wrapped up the day with a sixth-place finish in the 400 medley relay.

The Tigers will be back in action at the Centre College Invitational on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m. (ET).
