The Colorado College cross country teams will look to make history again this weekend at the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. The women's team, who finished second at the West Region meet by one point, and
Will Shuflit from the men's squad, will compete Saturday, Nov. 23, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

The No. 4 ranked women's team received an at-large bid on Sunday, sending the Tigers to the national meet for fourth consecutive year after finishing 22
nd at the 2023 meet.

Shuflit, a sophomore, finished fifth individually at the West Regional Meet, leading the Colorado College men to a fifth-place team finish, and automatically qualify for Saturday's NCAA Division III National Championships.

CC Women Continue to Dominate
There is no sign of stopping for the Tiger women on their 2024 campaign.

Isabel Olson continued her historic senior season with a fourth overall place finish at the West Region Meet with a 6K time of 21.8.4. The SCAC runner-up earned all-region honors (top 35 finishers) for the first time in her career.

Shuflit Breaks Own Record Again
Shuflit, who won the SCAC Championship Meet two weeks ago, broke his own school record last Saturday at the region meet with an 8K time of 24:15.7.

The Park City, Utah, native has had a historic sophomore year, breaking the 8K record for the second time this season.

History at the National Meet
The women will compete as a team at the Division III Championships for the 10
th time. The best finish for them is 12
th, in 1998 and 2016. CC has 10 All-Americans in women's cross country, with the last being current senior
Elliot Singer, who placed 29
th in 2021. The top 40 finishers earn All-America honors. CC's highest individual finish is 16
th by Sara Fry in 1993.

For the men, Shuflit will follow 2024 graduate
James Settles, who earned an All-America selection with a fourth-place individual finish last year. Julian Boggs holds the team's best finish ever at the national meet with a 3
rd-place result in 2006. Six Tigers have been named All-American a total of nine times, including current head coach
Alex Nichols, who placed 14th in 2007.
