Richter Places Sixth at Regional Diving Championships

Four Colorado College divers competed at the NCAA Division III Regional Championships Friday in San Antonio, Texas.

Junior Aidan Richter posted an impressive sixth-place result in the men's 3-meter competition with 448.80 points, the best result by a Tiger since Austin Howlett won the region title in 2015. Freshman Wyatt Wellehan placed ninth with a score of 438.45, with 26 divers competing.

"It was a tough competition, but our men maintained consistency throughout the whole meet," head diving coach Ellen Walker said. "We really showed off what we have accomplished at practice."

Meanwhile, freshman Keller Pooley placed 14th in the women's 1-meter event with 349.10 points, while junior Emma Krasemann finished 28th with 259.15 points.

"We worked hard to stay focused during a very long women's meet," Walker said. "We are looking forward to a rested day two on 3 meter."

The meet concludes on Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. (MT) with the men's 1-meter and women's 3-meter events.
